The instrument can be connected via a power supply for medical devices to any outlet or operated using conventional batteries (4 x 1.5V AAA) or the appropriate rechargeable battery. Four channels and 37 programs allow simultaneous therapy with up to eight acupuncture needles and the current intensity of each channel can be adjusted individually. The four channels are combined in pairs (1 +2, 3 +4) and as a result can be operated with two different therapy programs at the same time. The current intensity for each channel (needle pair) can be individually adjusted. The 37 individual programs are divided into nine groups (1 to 9) with various subprograms (e.g. 1.2 or 9.6). All programs have preset frequencies, pulse widths and time settings. Each restart or program change starts with the lowest intensity of 0.1 mA and can be increased up to 20 mA for each individual channel. AS SUPER 4 digital has freely modifi able programs. All programs come with an AKS safety circuit (output short circuit) to protect against skin irritation and an acoustic signal transmitter.
